Guest Survey Experience

A walkthrough of the survey flow guests see when submitting a Tattle survey — from the CER rating through operational categories, additional questions, and submission.

Overall Satisfaction (CER)

The first question guests see is always: "How would you rate your overall satisfaction with your experience?" This is your Customer Experience Rating (CER), rated on a one-to-five-star scale.

Contact Information

If Tattle is integrated with your POS or loyalty program, guest information such as email address and location can be pulled in automatically — guests will not need to enter it manually.

If a guest scans a QR code without an integration, they may be prompted to enter their email address.

Operational Categories

Guests then rate each operational category. These categories are customizable and determine what information you want to gather about their experience.

After selecting a rating, guests are also presented with factors — which factors had a negative, neutral, or positive impact on their rating.

Rating requirements:

  • 3 stars — guests must indicate which factor had a negative impact, or leave a comment

  • 1–2 stars — guests must enter a comment for that category

Guests proceed through all operational categories. Both categories and factors are fully customizable.

Additional Questions

After completing all operational categories, guests reach the Additional Questions section. These questions are fully customizable — use them to gather marketing data, operational insights, order-specific information, or anything else relevant to your business.

Some questions can appear conditionally based on the guest's previous answers.

Submission

Before submitting, guests may also be prompted to:

  • Upload a photo from their experience

  • Opt in to your mailing list for future promotions

Once all required questions are answered, guests click "Submit" to complete the survey. The response is sent directly to your Tattle dashboard for review.
